Worship | Worship at St. Martin's is Christ centered, based upon the text of the New Testament. The Eucharist is celebrated at every Sunday service and all baptized persons are welcomed to participate. The goal of St.Martin's is to provide a worship environment that encourages a sense of participation in the Lord's presence. |
Acolytes | Boys and girls from the 3rd grade and up begin training to assist in the liturgy. This ministry is open to all of our children. |
Altar Guild |
The beauty and majesty of the altar is enhanced by the diligent effort of the Altar Guild. The members of the Guild ensure that the altar is prepared and the sanctuary is in order before and after each service. |
Chalice Administrators |
Assist the priest at the altar by administering the Consecrated Wine. |
Greeters |
Every week a welcoming smile and a warm greeting for new and returning friends is guaranteed by our Greeters. |
Ushers |
Ushers assure that everyone receives a Sunday bulletin and a warm welcome as people enter the Church. Ushers also provide assistance in seating, collect the offering, and direct the congregation to the altar rail for Holy Communion. |
Worship Center |
The children of St. Martin's are blessed with talented storytellers in the Worship Center. The Worship Center, held during the children's service each week during the school year, provides young people, from ages four and up, the opportunity to learn about the Bible and Christian life. Young people hear stories and are given time to reflect on the stories and engage in activities which focus on the stories. |
Lay Ministry |
The purpose of our Lay Ministry is to assist parishioners and invited parties to determine their spiritual gifts, talents & ministries. They help to develop the "new leadership" that is being asked for and needed in the church today. |
Choir |
Our choir is open to every member of our parish. The repertoire spans simple unison melody to masterpieces such as Handel's Alleluia Chorus. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings during the school year. |
Eucharistic Band |
The Eucharistic Band includes instrumentalists from our church and visitors who offer to be with us on these special occasions. Many of our members enjoy this once a month celebration of more contemporary music. New Music is explained and practiced with the congregation on these Sunday mornings in efforts to include everyone in the fun and celebration. |
